How these tests work

Plain checks, plain answers.

A web page can see what your browser lets it see: the sound from your microphone, the picture from your camera, the keys and clicks you send it, the controller it is allowed to read, and the pixels it can draw. Each test shows you exactly that, in plain words, and tells you what to try next.

Every tool gives you the checks people expect for that device: a level meter and playback for a microphone, a live preview with resolution and frame rate for a webcam, a key map for a keyboard, full-screen colours for a monitor.
