How to use
4 short steps.
Click Start and allow the camera
The mirror opens flipped left to right, like a bathroom mirror. On a phone, choose the front camera from the list.
Go fullscreen on a phone
Fullscreen fills the screen with your face. The Mirrored and True view buttons stay available in the corner.
Switch to True view
True view removes the flip and shows you the way a video call shows you to other people. Text reads normally.
Zoom or freeze if you need a closer look
Zoom enlarges the picture up to 2.5 times. Freeze frame holds one frame on screen until you unfreeze.
What the result means
Match what you see to one of these.
If the picture moves with you, the mirror is working
If you raise your right hand and it rises on the right of the screen, you are in Mirrored view, which feels natural for grooming.
If left and right feel swapped, you are in True view
If your right hand rises on the left of the screen, you are seeing what other people see on a call. Switch back to Mirrored for a normal mirror.
If the image is dark or soft, fix the light first
If your face is dim or blurry, face a window or lamp and clean the lens. Digital zoom enlarges the picture but adds no detail.
Troubleshooting
If the test fails, try these in order.
Allow the camera in Chrome, Edge or Firefox
Click the camera or lock icon in the address bar and set Camera to Allow, then reload and click Start.
Allow it on Windows or macOS
Windows: Settings > Privacy & security > Camera. macOS: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera. Turn on access for your browser and retest.
Allow it on Android or iPhone
Android: Settings > Apps > Chrome > Permissions > Camera. iPhone: Settings > Safari > Camera, set to Allow. Reload the page and tap Start.
Pick the front camera
If you see the room instead of your face, choose the front camera from the list. Retest.
Close other camera apps
A video call or camera app may hold the camera and leave the mirror black. Quit it and click Start again.
What this test can't tell you
Where a browser check stops.
- True view shows the unmirrored stream; a meeting app can still crop or mirror its own preview differently.
- The mirror is not life-size or colour-calibrated, and digital zoom adds no detail.

Is there an online mirror?
Yes, this page is one. Click Start, allow the camera and your webcam or phone camera becomes a mirror. Go fullscreen for a larger view. It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Can I use my phone as a mirror?
Yes. Open this page on your phone, tap Start, allow the camera and choose the front camera. Tap Fullscreen to fill the screen. Hold the phone at arm's length for the sharpest picture.
How can I see my face as others see it?
Click True view. It removes the left to right flip, so you see what a video call shows to other people. Most apps mirror your own preview, so this can look unfamiliar at first.
Do online mirrors record you?
This one does not. The video stays in your browser tab and stops when you click Stop or leave the page. Freeze frame keeps one frame in memory only until you unfreeze.
